This Is How And Why Certain Forms Of Power Networking Eventually Leads To Generating Business!

Pretty much every type of so called marketing strategies and or tactics you implement, are ultimately designed, to help you start generating business, either on the front or back end of your various sales funnels, correct?

So how often have you heard the incredibly popular buzz phrase, (and or concept), “scale or scaling your business.”

Pretty much all the time, correct? No doubt. On the other hand, rather than continually investing, your extremely hard earned dollars, on running paid ads, when you already know going in.

If you’re not strategically A/B split testing certain aspects of your advertising and or opt in email campaigns.

There is simply no way, you will be able to truly maximize, your short and long term gross profits, correct?

Good, at least we can agree on that much. If your money and or resources are semi to extremely tight.

Perhaps it’s time, you seriously considered, the long term profit producing potential, involved in some good ole fashion power networking.Say what?

Whose Says Power Networking Is Only For The Big Boys And Girls!

Case in point. Let’s suppose, you’re a major distributor, of some extremely high end wines and champagnes.(Not to mention, some extremely great tasting, gourmet coffees, exotic teas and lemonades as well.)

And the vast majority, of your major competitors, (at least 90%) or more. They absolutely love, throwing tons of their advertising budget, (more like wasting it),on those outrageously expensive, dismally performing, glitzy corporate ads.

You know the types of full or half page ads you see, in various specialty magazines.Featuring really attractive, super model looking women, posed next to a really cool car or sun bathing on some exotic beach etc.

Sadly a mere 99% of the eyeballs, which glance at (mostly the incredibly hot looking women!), are not all that interested in the products or services being promoted.Right?

Which in this particular case, is a rather high end wine or champagne, which normally retails for somewhere between $289 – $575 dollars a bottle. Huh? Exactly.

This Is Why The Right Type Of Networking Is Important!

Let’s suppose, you and or your senior marketing director, were to at least, test the following marketing strategies.Initially on an extremely limited basis of course.

And carefully monitor, which particular strategic alliance and or cross promotional partners, consistently generated, the most front or back end profits.

Because the moment you discover which one or ones they are.

You now start systematically dedicating, 80 plus percent, (or more) of your various resources and or assets, supporting them in some way, shape or fashion.

You Do Realize Any Successful Form Of Power Networking Takes Place In Your Mind First!

Case in point. Once again, suppose you’ve strategically reached out, to a couple, of your areas, top female, residential and or commercial real estate agents and or brokers.

And initially, you simply supply them, with free bottles of their choice, of some or your best tasting, wines, coffees, exotic teas, lemonades and or champagnes etc.

And they agree, to freely share them, with their staff, especially around the major holidays, and or whenever agent or broker, closes a major deal.(Which hopefully happens fairly frequently.)

Consistently Growing Small Businesses Or Services Doesn’t Automatically Mean You Have To Throw Your Money All Over The Place!

Of course it goes without saying, once the owner of one of the top, local limousine providing services, gets wind of their real estate broker friend, serving some really great tasting bubbly, to their staff.

They’ll definitely want to get the entire 411, correct? No doubt. And of course, because the limo service owners, are personal friends, with, (and occasionally) vacations with the third largest owner, of a primary, residential mortgage lending service.

You know they too, will definitely want to provide their current, future and past clients, with expensive wine, coffee or champagne, as free, surprise house warming gifts, right?

Plus, on their best customers, (meaning) those who borrowed the most money, (to either) buy their home, refinance an existing loan and or borrowed to open or expand their existing business and or service etc.

Thinking Outside The Box Is A Great Way To Expand Your Marketing Opportunities And Or Long Term Possibilities!

For just a moment, think about all the viral, positive word of mouth and mouse buzz.

Both on and off of social media. Picture this. A local corporate client, (not only) rents three high end limo-s for a night on the town.

And or to attend, some extremely high profile local event and or function etc. But you supply the limo owner, (whose now) an extremely reliable cross promotional partner.

So not only is there free, (complimentary) bottles, of either, one of your best tasting wines and or champagnes in each limo.Say what?

Which the corporate big wigs themselves, initially chose. But how many video clips and or images of both the high end limo, and the extremely great tasting bubbling, do you think, they’ll enthusiastically post all over social media, during the entire night.Bingo!

Hold your thoughts for now. Because part two and beyond, will definitely pick up steam, and really place the marketing cheese on the cracker.

But for now, hopefully you’re truly starting to see and better appreciate, why certain types of power networking, definitely lead to you (and or) your major competitors generating business. Don’t you agree?

    Networking is and always will be one of my favorite ways to grow – not just in business but as a person as well. I have learned so much and feel so grateful for the friends I have made networking, including you.

    And as your rightly point out with the limo and wine example, sometimes the financial benefits of business networking show themselves in the most creative of circumstances.

    Just yesterday I began working with a friend of mine on a unique deal – he is looking to import similar products to those that I am already importing from China, for his own brand.

    I offered to just consolidate his order with my own from the same factory. This benefits him, because he doesn’t have to spend time looking for and building a relationship with the factory, or dealing with the logistics of getting the stuff from China the U.S. It benefits me because he’s covering a large chunk of the shipping fee (after the initial fees, adding additional units to a shipment is considerably less expensive.) It benefits the both of us another way – because the orders are larger, I’m able to negotiate cheaper costs / unit from the factory, and they appreciate the business which boosts our relationship.

    I never network with the goal of ‘getting something’ out of the relationship, but the truth is that if people spent time developing quality relationships now, and maintaining those relationships, wonderful opportunities will come their way over time.
