Five Simple Things A Really Close Friendship Can Teach You About Successful Blogging!

So do you currently have, (at least) a static website?

Or maybe you have a static website, with an active blog component included with it.Or do you have a state of the art, mobile responsive WordPress blog?

And have you been actively blogging for any meaningful length of time?

And can you see and hopefully appreciate, what an extremely powerful, low cost, valuable marketing tool, your blog can potentially be?

And do you currently have, a really close friend? Or maybe a (hands down) best friend!

Okay, if you do, let’s see how much, having a really close, (and or) very best friend, can and should teach you about successful blogging!

See if you agree with these five rather simple, yet hopefully, extremely helpful insights,as they relate to friendship and successful blogging.

So What Are These Five Rather Simple Insights A Really Close Friendship Can And Should Teach You About Successful Blogging?

First of all, have you noticed, how just about any given business situation, can somehow be related to real life, in more than one way?

And successful blogging techniques, and or strategies, is certainly no exception!Case in point; take a look at these five rather simple insights, as they relate some of your closest friendships, and see just how closely they relate to successful blogging too.

1.) Insight # one: So (honestly) when’s the last time, you went at least eight weeks (two month’s) or more, without some type of communication with your very best friend? And or a really close friend.

And yet you somehow think, not adding any fresh, “how to” problem solving content to your  state of the art WordPress blog, within the last eight weeks or so, is no different than you not communicating with your closest friend?

What say you entrepreneur? Would you really go that long, before you had any type of communication with your (so called) best friend?

You May Not Necessarily Compare Blogging To Having A Really Close Friendship! (But Maybe You Should!)

2.) Insight # two: So when you get a call (or text), from (either) a semi close and or your very best friend. How long does it take you (on average) to reply? Or do you simply toss it aside, and say (unfortunately), you’re just way too busy, to return their text and or phone call.

And yet, when you log into your WordPress blogs dashboard, and you see some of your visitors have taken the time to leave a thoughtful comment, for whatever reason(s), you don’t bother to reply to their comments in a timely manner!

Or worst yet, you don’t bother to respond at all! Again, (entrepreneur) I gotta ask you!Is this the way you would treat a really close friend, and or your very best friend?

3.) Insight # three: And when you do bother to communicate with your very best friend, would you only be contacting them, to ask for a favor of some kind?

So if that’s the case, why in the world, do you only publish blog post, or send email messages, that are clearly, nothing more than blatant sales pitches!

Entrepreneur Are You Blogging Simply To Try And Make Money Or To Be Extremely Helpful To Your Target Audience?

4.) Insight # four: When you actually speak with your closest friend and or your very best friend.Do you only talk, and rarely if ever listen to what they have to say?

Or is it only important to you, what you have to say!So with regards to your successful blogging habits, don’t you think, it’s equally important, your blog content reflect your target audiences-s real needs, and not just yours!

5.) Insight # five: And finally, (entrepreneur) would you really treat any of your closest friends, and or your very best friend, in any of the previous ways described?

And yet, this is for some odd reason(s),this is your current approach to successful blogging! Really?

You honestly don’t know, or can’t understand, why your current blogging efforts, aren’t really paying off!

Entrepreneur, hopefully, these five rather simple insights, with regards to friendship, are exactly what you need, to help jump start your blogging efforts! Now as is customary during this part of our show.

  1. Mark,
Once again, you nailed it!!! Treat your visitors and blog commenters like your friends, treat them like human beings and you can develop a useful relationship that is helpful to all parties. As we all know, people do business with people that they know like and trust! And you are great for building up friendships with your blog commenters!

  2. Hi Mark,

What an unusual analogy but absolutely right on target and easy to relate to blogging. Surely if you or anyone were to treat a best friend in that way (or your blog), little by little you are going to lose that friend (and lose visitors to your site).

Another point you mention that is very important about listening more than talking. Of course in writing you would want to supply more valuable information than you would (talking about yourself) and/or trying to “make a sale.”

I could go on but you have written an awesome article.

    Thanks for sharing.
