Why Being An Extremely Savvy Entrepreneur And Creative Asset Management Work So Well Together!

Ever notice “how” extremely well certain things, just seems to (either) go to and or work extremely well together? For ex : there’s that perennial dual “peanut butter & jelly.”

(Rest assured, (right now) somewhere in the world, there is either an adult and or kid who’s  enjoying the fruits of that epic combination! 😎 )

Sure both are such certified icons in there own right,that they can and do easily stand on their  own merit. However, it’s when you combine the two, that really helps to make them so universally  loved and recognizable.

Well, equally as impressive, is when you combine all the major “benefits” of being an extremely  savvy (and hopefully like able) entrepreneur and your creative asset management skills.

Lots of really good things just seem to keep happening!Some of which you (A.) You could not have  anticipated on your best day!(B.) And or would have never ever been able to start and sustain on  your own! (Am I right?)

So let’s now take a sort of reverse pro-active marketing approach and see “what” if anything positive happens, as a direct result of doing so!

So What Is This So Called Curious Relationship Between Being An Extremely Savvy Entrepreneur And Creative Asset Management?

(And “Why” Do They Go Hand In Hand Like Peanut Butter And Jelly?)

Basically, piggybacking off the overall theme of a previous post about creative asset management skills, let’s return to our local cruise ship director, that recently aligned with an extremely savvy local jeweler, whose business was currently the third rated jeweler in the immediate area.

And since that jeweler didn’t want to try and go head to head with the number one major competitor in the area, they (wisely) decided not to keep shelling out $30,000 to $50,000 dollars a month, (give or take) on outrageously expensive, traditional advertising mediums, like local TV, cable TV, local radio and or full and half page display ads in various major local newspapers etc.

Instead, they strategically combined forces (and resources) with a local cruise ship owner and other local entrepreneurs, in order to get maximum exposure to some of the areas most successful and highly influential men & women and their high income earning personal & professional inner circles.

And therefore (over time of course), made a much bigger (and far more impactful) positive word of mouth and mouse splash, for literally pennies on the dollar.

Just to cut to the chase here, (as you recall) from a previous post in this continuous series, the cruise ship was (simply) making a killing with their incredibly popular (annual)“Valentines Day Dinner Dance” events!

And as we said, typically about 400 locals would attend, (so about 200 ladies) attend this main stay local event. (Which is growing ever more popular year after year BTW!)

One of the main reasons is, because of the ever popular annual “Raffle” event where the ladies (and quiet as it’s kept) the gentlemen too, only (in another part of the ship), they both get to enter a “Raffle” and pay a one time entrance fee of $500 dollars, for a chance to win an incredibly popular $2,500  dollar (eye catching) woman’s diamond studded necklace!

Can you say bling a- licious- ladies! 😎

And typically about 150 women (out of 200 on board), and roughly the same ratio for the men, all pony up for their chance at the prize! And since the savvy jeweler (in essence) is the one donating the house bling, every raffle entrant automatically gets a special time sensitive VIP discount coupon, that entitles them to 30% off any purchase under $1,000 dollars and 45% off any purchase between $1,000 and $4,999 dollars!

(And 60% off the suggested retail price of any purchase of $5,000 dollars or more!)

And of course, as these particular “Raffle” events continue to grow in popularity and the positive word of mouth and mouse buzz, continues to grow and grow!

(Because remember, each and every event, as these ecstatic and overly enthusiastic  winners come forward to claim their prizes, both the cruise ship owners and the extremely savvy jeweler will be recording these events, in order to add the footage to their respective WordPress blogs and youtube channels etc!

The savvy jeweler (will sometimes) without announcing it before hand, simply provide some serious eye candy neck ware, worth a whopping $5,000 dollars!And get this, the one time “Raffle” entrance fee is still only $500 dollars!(With a simple marketing twist of course! 😉

Being A Creative Marketer Really Helps Being An Entrepreneur So Much More Fun And Profitable!

The (absolute) only way, any raffle participant can be eligible to win one of the $5,000 dollar diamond studded women’s necklaces for the one time raffle entry fee of just $500 dollars, they have to go to the jewelers special lead capture page on their (mobile friendly) WordPress blog, and join their opt in email list!Hello!

(Note: Otherwise, they can still enter the raffle like everyone else, and pay their one time entrance fee of $500 dollars (or X), and if they are one of the two extremely lucky winners, and it turns out they’re not currently one of the jewelers VIP email subscribers.

In that case, they only win the $2,500 piece of eye catching bling, instead of the $5,000 dollar one!Bummer!

And fellas (word to the wise!) you do not want to have to explain (over and over) to either your (loving wife, live in significant other and or current girlfriend etc:)

And her Mother, sisters and her best friend, (that never thought you were right for her to begin with!)  😉  “Why” the only reason your one time $500 dollar raffle entry fee didn’t win her that $5,000 dollar piece of bling, was because (for whatever) reasons, you chose not to join the jewelers VIP opt in email list! 😎 (You so don’t want to go there!)

But here’s the other thing; let’s fast forward about three years out. And let’s say the cruise ship, (which does) some type of major event about once every other month.

Which means, they’ve been aggressively collecting opt in email names for about three solid years. And they now have an active VIP subscribers base of 6,840 subscribers, and growing!

So now the cruise ship owners want to be good local (corporate citizens), so they reach out to few of their favorite local charities.

And send their list announcements (solicitations) for donations on behalf of the local charities!And let’s they average a 20% open rate.

Which means (at least) 1,368 of the faithful open their email solicitation.(6,840 VIP subscribers x .20% open rate = 1,368)

And let’s further say (at least) 40% of them (or 547 locals) consistently open their wallets! (1,368 x .40% = 547)

Here’s where the extremely savvy jeweler lends a hand as well! Every donor, that spends $99 dollars or less, they get a special time sensitive discount coupon from the jeweler, for 20% off their next purchase.

Any donation between $100 dollars to $499 dollars, and they automatically save 30% off. Every donation from $500 to $999 dollars and they automatically save 45% off!

And every donation between $1,000 and $4,999, they automatically save 55% off! And the the top two donors, automatically win $2,500 dollar his or her Rolex watches, plus a really coo plague that says “Thank you” for being this years big fish donor!” Courtesy of the jeweler as well!(Not bad right?)

Word definitely gets around about this sort of thing!

And one way creative asset management will definitely help this happen! Entrepreneur, you can bet, some of these men & women, leaders and people of exceptional influence,within their various personal and or professional circles of influence.

They will take the lead in this periodic “fund raising” process and forward the cruise ship dealers  solicitation to their (on and offline) databases!

They’ll post them on their FB fan pages and post notices on the bulletins boards at (either) their place of business and or their own businesses.

They will personally text and call friends, colleagues, relatives and other local celebrities etc!In short, they will relentlessly pound the pavement, both on and offline, and do whatever they can to help that cruise ship and local jewelers periodic fund raising efforts a major success!

And that’s the unknown hidden “X” factor, they definitely bring to the table!And that’s “how” and “why” creative asset management skills and being an extremely dynamic entrepreneur, definitely go hand and hand!
