So How Does Laser Focus Help You But Tunnel Vision Cost Really Big Money?Part Three

As you recall in the first two installments, in this ongoing series, about how (unfortunately) single minded marketing tunnel vision,can and definitely will, continuously repel your potential long term profits.

Because those that are currently experiencing or trying to rid themselves of this long term profit repelling mindset, they tend to only see the very tip of the entire iceberg of marketing possibilities.(Do they  not?)

They are often so mentally locked into whatever it is they’re involved with, they often can’t see all of the other potentially viable marketing alternatives.Even though they’re practically staring them in the face! 😎

And that’s how and where their tunnel vision like focus, can and definitely will potentially cost them (or you) big time!Let the following few (extremely) low hanging fruit marketing examples,serve as exhibit A.

Watch and see how relatively easy and straight forward (it actually is), to take practically any given situation and consistently and effectively apply several battlefield tested marketing strategies and tactics etc. And dramatically influence the overall outcome. Let’s take a look!

So How Does Single Minded Marketing Tunnel Vision Potentially Cost You A Ton Of Money?

Let’s get back to our (hypothetical marketing example) of the extremely savvy, local appliance dealer,who’s strategically partnering with a popular Bingo parlor owner.

Since the extremely savvy appliance dealer is constantly looking for some relatively inexpensive ways to consistently generate brand new first time customers, for hopefully pennies on the dollar!

Instead of the typical cost of $400 to $700 dollars per lead, they’re so used to paying, whenever they use the outrageously expensive, traditional advertising methods, of local radio, TV and local Sunday newspaper ad inserts etc!

Now since the Bingo parlor is already averaging about 100 of the faithful every week,(give or take) the appliance dealer wisely  decides to simply leverage the repeat customer base they’ve already developed and add a few battlefield tested marketing tweaks, to see if they too can also cash in by doing so!

As you recall in part two, the appliance dealer was gladly financing the Bingo parlor owners weekly incentive based, (word of mouth and mouse) referral generating plan.

And since the appliance dealer was circulating their two sided flyer each week among the faithful, and side “B”  of the flyer directed the players to their mobile responsive WordPress blog, so they could enter their always popular free drawing, for a chance to win a $2,500 dollar state of the art Home Entertainment System!

With the ultimate grand prize winners to be announced just eight short weeks the original day it’s announced!(And there will also be a second and third (previously unannounced) grand prized winners as well!)

Just Because Some Of Your Major Competitors Routinely Suffer From Marketing Tunnel Vision Doesn’t Mean You Have To!

Remember,every time any of the players brings a guest(referral), whose 18 and over with them to the weekly game, they automatically get a $20 dollar gas card per referral mind you!

And starting in the very second week, the bingo parlor owners will begin ending each gathering by first acknowledging and then ethically bribing the person that brought the most guests over 18 with them to that nights game!

And as soon as they reach their fifth referral, they automatically start receiving a $50 dollar gas card per referral potential lead!Right up until the night they actually announce the grand winner of the free drawing!

Now remember, since the extremely savvy appliance dealer, (and or extremely savvy retail company X), easily has a total lifetime customer value of somewhere between $4,800 – $14,900 dollars, over a seven to nine year period, they’ll gladly invest smaller amounts of $20- to $150 dollars to consistently generate that all important first time customer!

(And based on this particular hypothetical marketing example, you should be more than willing to do so to!)

Now ladies & gentlemen, I know you’re literally chomping at the bit to get to the main way this extremely savvy appliance retailer is ultimately going to use, in order to consistently create massive, (make that) seriously mammoth profits!

But if you hurriedly skip over these extremely subtle potential marketing opportunities, you’ll be just as guilty of long term profit repelling tunnel vision as described in our hypothetical example! And that’ simply unacceptable!(Don’t you agree?)

Single Minded Marketing Tunnel Vision May Appear To Be Harmless But It’s Not!

So here’s some more extremely simple ways/ marketing tactics the savvy appliance dealer is going to use to inexpensive generate some positive word of mouth buzz and ultimately cause more and more  bodies to show up for the weekly bin game.

At the end of each week’s game, everybody that brought a guest that was 18 & over, all of their names immediately get put into a separate drawing right then and there and one of them will win a $50 dollar gift certificate to one of the local Supermarkets!

So in other words, for a mere additional $50 dollar investment, thy’ll generate some serious positive word of mouth and mouse buzz!

Because every person that got at least $20 dollars for their referral, you can bet they’ll be talking, (more like) bragging about it (constantly) to their closet friends, immediate family members and or co-workers or employees, if they happen to run their own business!Right?

And you know, the person (or persons) that win the weekly, (I brought the most referrals over 18 contest!) You know they’ll be incessantly letting the world know, (on and offline) they not only got a $20 dollar gas card per referral 18 & over!

But because they also won that’s nights most referrals over 18 contest, they also automatically won two more additional gift cards worth $50 dollars apiece!One of course is a $50 dollar gas card and the other is a $50 dollar gift certificate a popular local Supermarket.

So you know they will definitely be letting the world know about their recent positive turn of events!Every chance they get.Oh yea! 

Entrepreneur Would You Not Agree That Single Minded Marketing Tunnel Vision Can be Downright Expensive!

And not to missed entrepreneur, is the overall ambiance of the place!Huh? For example, most local bingo parlors, if they happen to serve any coffee  or free beverages of any kind, they pretty much are just the lower end (translated) of the  dirt cheap, generic store brand variety!Right?

Which is a huge marketing red flag no,no!Because remember, everything the savvy appliance dealer is doing, is to positively influence the long term positive word of mouth and mouth buzz, to ultimately generate more physical bodies to the weekly games!

That way they continuously build their opt in email list, by way of their free drawing, that’s being mentioned on side “B” of the two sided flyers that are passed out to every new referral generated guest! 😎

So for that reason alone, the extremely savvy appliance dealer tracks down the best tasting (exotic coffee) and or other extremely popular beverages they can find, anywhere in the city/town etc.

And that’s what they serve at the bingo parlor!

That way it’s just another reason for the players to mention a work, their social gathering or while at the beauty or barber shop etc!
