How often have you heard the terms “successful entrepreneurs” or successful businessman? Probably a lot, right? Well, without a doubt the two distinct terms are very similar, but they do have there subtle differences.
This post will point out at five of them. But make no mistake about it, the differences are real. And truth told, you probably start out as an extremely optimistic (risk taking) entrepreneur and then (over time) evolve into a (conservative -percentage playing) businessman.
And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being one or the other! But they are subtle differences.
Five Basic Ways Successful Entrepreneurs Are Different From Successful Businessmen!
1.) Subtle difference # one: Successful entrepreneurs tend to be more of innovators! While successful businessmen tend to prefer to stay with the tried and true!
They (meaning- successful businessmen) don’t like to rock the boat! Where as successful entrepreneurs are content to risk sinking the ship, in the hopes of making that goldmine cutting edge discovery!
2.) Subtle difference # two: Successful entrepreneurs (typically) tend to have to initially finance their start ups with their own money.
Because practically nobody else believes enough in their vision/dreams.Whereas successful businessmen are typically able to leverage their businesses, by obtaining traditional bank and or credit union financing.

3.) Subtle difference # three: Successful entrepreneurs tend to share the wealth of their success, by offering their employees stock. Whereas successful businessmen tend to pay their employees (either) an hourly wage and or a set salary.
4.) Difference # four: Successful entrepreneurs are by their very nature, literally faced to learn new skills if not everyday, then at least every week! Whereas successful businessmen are more into simply following the tried and true. (Of course, as long as it ultimately increases your income, who cares, right?)
5.) Difference # five: Successful entrepreneurs tend to be referred to as mavericks! Whereas successful businessmen (typically) are not looking for the next big breakthrough! They simply prefer to follow a proven money making template!
Of course there other subtle differences, but by and large these are the five basic differences between successful entrepreneurs and successful businessmen.
