Scaling your business    (Then You Definitely Work Forward From There!)

Ladies & gentlemen do any of you? Or maybe I should say how many of you are already familiar with “The Business Guru?” The oh so brilliant Jeff Veale.

You wanna talk about a freaking, get it done now marketing dynamo! I recently had the complete pleasure of being a podcast guest on his outrageously popular, “15 minutes Of Fame” podcast. (Thanks again for the opportunity Jeff!)

And before he even officially hit the recording button for our interview. Somehow we got into a rather interesting/fascinating conversation. About “how to” successfully market/promote your, or a mom & pop family style restaurant.

In a non traditional way! Using what he likes to affectionately refer to as “common sense” marketing strategies and tactics! 😀 Even though they’re anything but.

But here’s what i really want to emphasize with this particular post. Some of the awesome marketing nuggets Jeff shared before he recorded our podcast session.

He could definitely promote it as a comprehensive, overview of your restaurant marketing plan. He shared a totally  brilliant strategy he affectionately referred to as the “Red Napkin” strategy.

It’s so outrageously simple and practical. But it leads me to another brilliant marketing insight he shared.

It Definitely Makes Sense To Segment Your Customers!

He wisely pointed out. Don’t market/promote the same way to your 1st time customers. And your loyal repeat customers. Because your/our repeat customers. You and I don’t need to invest large amounts of money.

When you promote to your/our repeat customers. You/we have the opportunity to generate 3 -5X times more gross profits. (On either the initial front end. Or on the long term back end of your sales funnel.)

The fact he strongly emphasizes greeting and marketing to 1st customers differently than returning customers.

This is a far too often missed marketing/promotional opportunity. Don’t you agree? You lead your 1st time customers in direction A. And your extremely loyal repeat customers in direction B.

And leverage both approaches for maximum long term profitability. Makes sense, right? Successfully scaling your business and or service. Is definitely not about who has the most money to market or promote.
