In this particular post. I’m speaking directly to you non franchised retailers. (Especially if you currently own a profit seeking jewelry, furniture and or appliance store.) Regardless of how many stores you currently have. Or plan on having.
Entrepreneur it’s a sad undeniable fact. The money you spend on outrageously expensive, traditional, local prime time TV or radio ads etc.
Those 30 or 60 second ads. Don’t get seen nor heard by a large percentage of the locals in your particular area, right?
This being the case! Don’t you think it’s time your ad dollars starting working for, not against you?
Don’t Discount Your Ability To Market Your Business And Or Service! (As Opposed To Just Advertising It!)
Strictly for hypothetical marketing illustration purposes only. Let’s say your retail jewelry store typically spends anywhere from $30 – $40K per month. On those outrageously expensive, dismally performing, 30-60 second, local prime time radio & TV ads etc.
Sadly, the vast majority of the mass local audience. Don’t even notice your ads until you’ve run them several times, right? 😀 And most traditional ad experts agree.
It will usually take you/us on average. Anywhere from seven to twenty one touches. (Ads run.) Before your/our ideal customer buys anything. Meanwhile that money’s still gone out of your/our traditional ad budgets, correct?
Entrepreneur, (as best you possibly can!) Put a pencil to all of those ads which don’t do anything. To convert your local public into first time revenue.
Needless to say this all to common practice is very common, is it not?
This Is How You And Or Your Major Competitors Systematically Make Your Current Or Future Ad Budget Work For Not Against You!
What if each month. You and or your major competitors allocated anywhere from 25-40% of your traditional ad budget. And purposely sought some of the top, most visible influencers in local community.
And provided they join your VIP opt in email list. And drag a friend with them to your store. Who’s at least 18.
Before your self imposed, 10 or X day expiration date window expires! They automatically get to buy an extremely eye catching pair of diamond studded earrings. Which typically retails for $600 or X amount of dollars a pair.
(Your actual hard cost is typically half or less! :-D) Each month. Let’s start with your local, major nurses or home health associations. And your local home healthcare individuals.
Each one who meets the above mentioned criterion. They get a set of your awesome looking earrings.
The Strategic Use Of Part Of Your Ad Budget! (Can Lead To Some Major Long Term Profit Generating Opportunities!)
For just a moment. Think about the long term, positive word of mouth and mouse impact. When 50-500 or X number local nurses and or professional men & women.
The local influencers will be routinely attending local social events. (Parties in their neighborhood.) Highly visible weddings. They sit in board rooms. With other local major influencers.
They have paid memberships in local country clubs. Are you starting to see and appreciate the long term marketing opportunities and or possibilities? Please say yes! 😀
(BTW, some of the influential, local country club members are an entirely separate marketing opportunity in and of itself!)
