Take a long look at the featured image from this particular post. It’s a real screenshot from account profile on Linkedin. It’s actually the gentlemen standing next to the lady. Who I suspect is probably his wife.
You see the blue arrow? It’s basically pointing to the fact. His Linkedin banner is completely blank. The equivalent to you or I having a blank business card. Other than with our picture in the lower left hand corner.
Since on average. You and I only have 3-5 five seconds at best. To convey to your/our visitors. What benefits. Or what your/our specific products or services does.
Before the traffic moves on. I’d say his banner doesn’t quite or doesn’t do a very good job. And according to recent stats. Of the one billion plus worldwide users on the Linkedin platform. A staggering 30% of them! Have banners similar to this one! If you can believe that.
Needless to say. There’s more than enough room for some potentially profitable marketing opportunities. Don’t you agree?
Don’t Try To Go Big Right Out Of The Gate!
Let me start by saying. Unfortunately this particular vendor. A retail jewelry store owner. And or executive of the jewelry store.
He’s not a one on one consultant client yet! Because if he was. I would direct him to consult asap! With some of the qualified, Linkedin profile optimization experts.
Who would help convert his Linkedin profile into a client generating lead magnet. So it works for him and or his business 24/7. That being said.
Strictly for hypothetical marketing illustration purposes only. Let’s say he was a one on one consulting client. Who sells high end retail jewelry.
After conducting a profit generating assessment/audit. I would strongly suggest he or you! (If you own a non franchised retail jewelry business.) To immediately start leveraging the extremely low hanging fruit marketing opportunities. And or possibilities.
Which are within his companies immediate grasp. For example. More than likely he lives in a fairly or an expensive neighborhood, correct?
This being the case. I would strongly suggest. He start out with 20- 50 of his closet, current and former neighbors!
And as long they joined his VIP opt in email list. And drug a friend with them to his or your store.
Who’s at least 18. The ladies get to buy an extremely eye catching, diamond studded necklace. With a retail value of $3,000 or X thousands of dollars.
And the gentlemen get to purchase a $3,000 or X thousand dollar Men’s Rolex watch.
Don’t Be Afraid Or Hesitant To Put A Little Creativity In Your Marketing Strategies And Tactics!
And as long as their guest along joined his or your opt in email list. Before they left his or your store that day.
They get to purchase any one pair of bling. And save 30 or X% off. Up to $1,500 or X amount of dollars. Next, I’d strongly suggest he or you do a 10-20 block radius around his or your store(s.)
And every business owner or service provider or manager/supervisor(s) of those stores. Provided they also drug a friend with them to pick up their bling. Plus they also joined his or your opt in email list.
They get to save up to 30-40 or X% off any one piece of jewelry. Up to a maximum of $2,000 or X amount of dollars. This incredibly simple marketing strategy. Will definitely cause a ton of positive word of mouth and mouse buzz.
