Entrepreneur How Good Are You At Spotting Potentially Profitable Trends? Part Two
(Please Stop Overlooking This Potentially Profitable One!)
In part two of spotting potentially profitable trends. And ultimately monetizing them.
Ladies & gentlemen let’s take a much closer look. At an all too common trend among newbie guest podcasters. Because this particular trend is a major marketing mistake.
(Hopefully you’re not making it! And if you are. Please stop doing so asap! Because it may be costing you a ton of potentially lucrative opportunities.)
Have a look and see if you agree, fair enough?
As Long As You Stay In Your Lane! (Don’t Be Afraid To Help Fill The Void!)
At least some if not most of you. Have either heard of. And or maybe you’re already a follower of the dynamic Mel Robbins. She’s a NY times best selling author. And she’s amassed, (at last count!) An incredible 28 million followers online.
She currently has a million followers on Linkedin alone. And who knows what her ultimate count will be.
Here’s my point. Let’s say you and I are potential guests for her podcast. And you and I and or someone on our respective teams. Reach out asking to be a guest on her outrageously popular podcast.
Ans she has a choice between Tony Robbins, Molly Bloom, Russell Brunson. And or you and I. 😀 (I won’t try and speak for you in this particular situation!)
But more than likely! I won’t be invited, right? I’m virtually unknown to her and or her steady growing audience, right?
Stop Trying To Nail The Big One! (And Instead Scoop Up The Low Hanging Fruit Marketing And Promotional Opportunities All Around You!)
So why would she or any other established podcast host. Roll the dice on a virtually unknown guest. When far more established ones are readily available!
Who can also share the episode with their huge audiences as well. Wouldn’t you pretty much do the exact same thing? Me to BTW! Just saying. 😎
These far less popular and established podcast host. For the most part are far more flexible. They will probably extend anywhere from 30 – 60 minutes.
For you and I to bond with their audiences. And demonstrate your/our particular, proven expertise. How much time do you think a power house like Mel Robbins could safely afford to offer relatively unknown guests?
She has an established brand. Does she not? And her audience expects a certain level of established cred. From her expert guests, right?
But the much smaller podcast hosts are in a much better position to be extremely flexible.
You Just Keep Moving In The Right Direction!
Here’s the far too often ignored and or discounted flip side ladies & gentlemen. There are literally tens of thousands of podcast host. Who don’t have anywhere near 100,000 subscribers or more!
(And truth told. The vast majority of them probably never will.) And these podcast hosts are literally bending over backwards. Constantly trying to find viable guests for their shows.
And rather than leveraging these extremely low hanging fruit opportunities.
Most potential podcast guests. Are busy chasing needle in haystack possibilities. By trying to get on podcasts.
Which they/we simply don’t have enough brand recognition for. What do you think happens when any podcast hosts proudly announces. They have internationally known Tony Robbins as a future guest.
Anticipation is literally through the roof, right? And the social media shares, comments and likes are off the charts!
so would the Mel Robbins of this world rather extend invitations to those type of potential guests. Or to the unknowns! It’s pretty much a no brainer. correct?
So get better at spotting potentially profitable trends. And leverage them to the hilt! Who else is on board with this train of thought?
