So recently while shopping in the mall. I came across this interesting -outside sign for this women’s clothing store. As you can see. Any women who just happen to be shopping in the mall.
On the specific days this particular promotion is going on. They didn’t specifically come to the mall. On a specific date. In order to take advantage of this particular offer. On the other hand.
Watch how some strategic email marketing can and definitely will. Make a ton of difference. Are you curious to see how?
You Really Should Embrace Some Effective Lead Generation Efforts!
Clearly the women who just happening to be in the mall on those particular days. And they happen to see the store owners sign. It’s all sort of left to chance! Is it not?
On the other hand. Let’s say the store owner(s) had been systematically building their own opt in email list. Over the last seven plus years. And they now have an active and very impressive email subscriber base of 19,783.
Even after 7% have unsubscribed. Now when you and or your major competitors need a flood of locals to your store. And you definitely don’t want to waste another fortune.
On outrageously expensive, hit & miss traditional ad campaigns. Instead they (or you!) Thought ahead and segmented your email list. And since only 8.543 subscribers.
Checked a box on their or your lead capture page. Indicating they are specifically interested in these types of offers. Which also increases the likelihood.
A much larger percentage of this highly targeted/niche audience. Will drag a friend with them to you and or your major competitors store(s.) Who’s at least 18.
And rest assured a certain percentage of them will be ethically bribed to make a purchase. And for literally pennies on the dollar.
Your First Time Customer Acquisition Costs! (Don’t Have To Be Outrageously Expensive!)
But here’s where the typical, non franchised retailer. And or service provider completely misses the boat big time! As it relates to the strategic use of opt in email marketing.
Case in point. Who says this particular retailer. Can’t or shouldn’t have some strategic partnerships. With other non directly competing vendors. Located both in and outside the mall! 😀
And let their Joint Venture/JV partners. Send a series of extremely time sensitive email messages to their vendors and their own email subscribers.
More money will definitely be consistently made. For literally pennies on the dollar. Makes sense, does it not? Maybe it’s time to get serious about strategic email marketing. Don’t you agree?
