Remember when you were a kid and some older adult or parent that you totally admired & respected would advise you about doing something (or not) doing something, that they themselves weren’t actually doing? Like driving with your their seat belt fastened! That’s before it became the law. Well, have you noticed “how” certain marketers can really get on their proverbial high horse about “how” it no longer makes economic sense for you to have an active email campaign of any kind!
And yet, “how” did you receive the message from them? (Email!) Bingo! In fact, a while back a rather well known online marketer sent out an email, about (what else?) video marketing, proclaiming “how” email marketing itself was dead! Yea right!
Hey, not to be misunderstood here. Without a doubt, email open rates overall, have taken a dramatic turn for the worse!(But not for everybody!) And fewer of them -unfortunately- get open & even the ones that do, the overall click through rates (CTR) are way down as well! All true.
