Ladies and gentlemen. Hopefully as you already or previously discovered in part one of this ongoing series. Strategically speaking for free locally.
Can depending on how you and I and or your major competitors go about things. Can become very lucrative. And extremely beneficial on many levels.
Are you creatively open enough to at least explore a few previously untapped marketing/promotional possibilities?
Try To Appreciate How Speaking Locally For Free Is Strategically Building Your Brand!
And please remember and bare in mind ladies & gentlemen. These are strictly hypothetical marketing examples. To be used for marketing illustration purposes only.
This being the case. Let’s say some local organizations. Like local jr. colleges or private associations etc. Offer you the opportunity to either. Speak for free and or what you consider to be!
And extremely low fee. Like $200 or X amount of dollars. For either 45 – 60 minutes of your time. Even at that rate. Entrepreneur what does that workout to be for an hour or three quarters of an hour of your/our time? 😀
But far more importantly. You and I and or your major competitors. Can power network with the local major players. Your free speaking opportunities can and probably will open the door to even greater local or perhaps regional or even national speaking opportunities.
And by both national and potentially international opportunities. I’m referring to your virtual speaking opportunities. (And you can decide if you’d actually like to travel.
And let’s say things for the most part. (Never go past you and I physically speaking on the local level. Ladies & gentlemen. This could still potential mean occasional local radio or TV appearances.
And being interviewed by local, relevant periodicals. You could also potentially do local, virtual workshops. Or teach via local Adult Education centers. If such opportunities currently exist in your particular area.
Entrepreneur Start Trusting Your Creative Marketing Ideas And Strategies!
Of course you and I would love to be paid to speak! All I’m advocating for here is! As or while you and I steadily refine your/our ‘Signature Talk.’ And here’s the other thing to seriously consider ladies & gentlemen.
If for whatever reasons. You still have not had the pleasure to speak professionally. Either on or off camera. Or at live local book or local investment clubs etc.
Ask anyone you trust who has. Or who is currently doing it. It takes a little adjustment to get comfortable in front of the camera. And or in front of a live audience.
Regardless of the live audiences size. Obviously the larger the audience. The bigger the adjustments. Which will probably need to be made, right?
And we’re all unique individuals, right? So the adjustments clearly will vary from person to person.
Don’t Be In Too Much Of A Hurry! (Especially When You’re Initially Starting Out! And You Haven’t Quite Figured Things Out Just Yet!)
Entrepreneur please don’t be in too much of a hurry to demand four & five figure speaking fees! If the first few times you actually get in front of the camera. Or you’re being interviewed via the radio.
And you suddenly find yourself stammering or coming across as clearly nervous and not super polished or confident yet! 😀 Because those are not the type of traits polished speakers, experienced confident speakers exhibit, correct? 😀
Which means maybe, you’re not quite ready to be demanding the higher end fees just yet. Give it some time. Get your reps put in.
Then before you know it. You’re ready to up your speaking game. So keep an open mind. When it comes to speaking for free locally, okay?
It’s just until you get things figured out. Then adjust accordingly.
Entrepreneur The Bottom Line It’s Your Fault If You Don’t At Least Attempt To Make The Of Your Opportunity!
