So how the heck is a cash starved, struggling small business owner and cash strapped service provider, supposed to be able to compete against the big boys & girls, especially when they’ve got access to more  resources? What little known secret or strategy, can you possibly pull out of your marketing arsenal bag of tricks, that will quickly reveal to you, how to gain competitive advantage, especially in an extremely competitive market place! So glad you asked!

 How To Gain Competitive Advantage In An Extremely Competitive Market Place!

Entrepreneur, part of the real (main) reason that you constantly struggle! You try way too hard to re-invent the wheel! Huh? Case in point: Instead of you strategically using  marketing leverage, to gain a competitive advantage. You (instead) try to rely on your current (limited) own ideas, cash or other resources. Instead of tapping into a much more established network, that readily available to you! Huh?

For ex: take Borders books, as you may or may not know, they recently had to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection! Now you might be wondering, what exactly could you possibly learn from a bankrupt company? Plenty it turns out! For starters, they often let their major rival (that being) good old Barnes & Noble, do the heavy lifting (not to mention) expensive, market research and analysis etc.

And wherever B & N’s research department decided a store should go, guess what? Within a very short period of time, Borders would add a location within the immediate area as well.

Meaning- Borders simply leveraged B & N’s hard work and profited from it too! The fact that they were unable sustain their particular business model, well that (entrepreneur), is an entirely different subject!

How To Gain Competitive Advantage By Educating Your Ideal Prospects!

Head over to your top five major competitors websites or WordPress blogs, and take a look (study) their frequently asked questions “FAQ” pages. And see “how” many of those questions, you can turn into, at least the following three forms of free lead magnet info products!

That you can strategically giveaway as free potential customer and client lead magnets!

1.) How many of those customer/client “lead magnet” issues and or concerns can  you convert into X number of tips or problem solving “how to” articles, that you publish on your WordPress blog! And or guest blog about, in order to generate additional free highly targeted traffic to your site.

2.) How many of those questions and or concerns, can you turn into short 3-15 minute ‘how to” problem solving instructional videos! That can be shared on youtube and other free and paid video sharing sites.

3.) How many of those questions or concerns, can you turn into pod casts and freely distribute! or you might interview another recognized expert about these subjects and just be sure to include your lead capture info, and once again, you’re using bank account filling marketing leverage!

Entrepreneur, stop struggling so much! Relax! Take a deep breath, then look for ways to creatively and strategically leverage, what’s already been done!

That’s how to gain competitive advantage! Even in an extremely competitive market place!
