As you previously discovered in part six (can you believe it?), discovering how to market your business, product or service, just like the ultimate insiders do, is just a matter of learning to see past the trees, so you might appreciate the forest of untapped opportunities. Would you not agree? Because after all, it’s not as if savvy entrepreneurs are hoarding opportunities are they? Absolutely not.

Instead, if anything, by expanding and extending their particular opportunities, they are increasing the overall wealth creation possibilities for even more business owners, right?

Entrepreneur, in part seven of this ongoing series, (fasten your seats belts) because you are about to go really deep. Which means, this is not for the marketing faint of heart. This next expansive look is hopefully going to really open your -creative marketing mind- incredibly wide, to the enormous untapped possibilities…..

How To Market Your Business Like You’re Really Serious About Earning  Profit!

Let’s head back to our $37 billion dollar a year cruise ship hospitality industry example. Because this next potential untapped profit center possibility, should put your money making pistons into overdrive.

To this point, the savvy (hypothetical) jeweler has been creatively tapping into the cruise ships captive audience of perennial six figure earners,right? Now let’s quickly turn your long range money making attention to the real (untapped) potential pot of gold, shall we? Say what?

How about this; (ladies & gentlemen) hopefully you do realize and appreciate the fact that the typical cruise ship (that’s being referred to in this particular example) has about 1,000 crew members. Give or take.

Now then, the savvy jeweler approaches the crew and (get this), offers the the entire crew their choice to (either) purchase any one piece of jewelry and save 50% off their first purchase!

Or as long as they spend at least $2,000 dollars, they can purchase any one piece at the jewelers actual cost! Huh? Think about the enormous long term word of mouth possibilities for just a second! First of all, let’s say (at least) 80% of the crew members (per ship by the way), decide to take the jeweler up on their extremely generous think outside the box offer!

From The Few Will Come Many!

(And of course, before the extremely savvy jeweler) jumps in feet first, they test and track  the overall response from their very first beta cruise ship. So 80% of 1,000 is 800. Which means (a mere) 800 crew members either saved 50% or got some piece of really eye catching jewelry at the jewelers cost!

And just for the sake of really trying to stimulate your creative marketing glands, let’s say 50% of these 800 crew members are women! So the savvy jeweler gives those 400 women crew members (aka) 24/7 walking billboards, an additional five VIP gift certificates each!

I’ll let you catch your breath. Here’s the bottom line, after all is said and done, every crew member or in this case the first 800 beta testers, 400 of whom are women! They’ll be walking around and socializing (on and off ship) with some sort of 24/7 publicity generating (eye catching) topic of conversation piece of jewelry on! Don’t you agree?

But here’s where you need to do a serious side by side comparison! Let’s say this is the typical seven day cruise.

Entrepreneur, from the time that ship leaves the dock and returns seven days later, wanna take a wild guess “how many” outrageously expensive TV, radio and local newspaper ads have been paid for!

And how many of those ads will anyone remember five minutes after they’ve run! Now then, going forward,  (from now on) every time that crew member wears that eye catching $2,500 dollar necklace that they purchased at the jewelers actual cost of just $987 dollars including all applicable taxes and fees etc.

Which marketing ploy do you think is going to constantly be a topic of conversation? Those outrageously expensive ads or those beautiful $400 dollar retail earrings and that really nice charm bracelet? Hello!

And remember, the jeweler only has to foot this promotional cost once! The advertisers have to buy multiple runs, just to have a chance of even getting noticed! Is this not the sort of stuff that marketing dynamite is made of! Does that answer your question of how to market your business, like you’re serious about earning a profit? Any questions?
